  1. something a bit dressy but nothing too fancy it would get ruined!

  2. My daughter will be in first grade this year. She will probably were one of her nice shirts. Since our school pictures don't show much below the shoulders, it is much easier to decide what she should wear!

  3. let em dress themselves

  4. I have 3 boys.My 13 year old wears:

Collared Shirts,Jeans, and regular white nikes. His hair is buzzcut so we put Gel in it and mess around until we find a style he likes.

    My 10 year old:

A nice solid t-shirt,jeans,white shoes, and his hair is short so we comb it and put some gel in it.

    My 5 year old:

He likes to pick out Shirts, so i pick out pants, shoes, and hairstyles. He usually goes for a nice solid polo, and his hair is short. So we spike it up.

I have a 6 week old, but she doesn't go to school yet. We have a while to go ;)

I also took custody of my 9 year old niece who recently moved in with us. She's a BIG girly girl. She likes anything that's pink.

  5. When I have kids, I'll dress boys in something simple but nice like a button down shirt...in a color they look good in. For girls, a sweater or pretty blouse...also in a good color. I think it's appropriate to put them in something nicer than usual considering those will be the pictures that represent that grade and time of their life for the rest of their lives. They're relatively cheap pro pictures I'll want to take advantage of! :)

  6. oh me and my daughter plan a week ahead what she is gonna wear she is a big fashion girl I have no idea where she got it she is only 7 but man she picks out cutier clothes than me

  7. When my daughter was in Elementary school, she wore a nice, yet simple dress, but now that she's in middle school she wears khakis and a nice shirt, that she selects and then brings a change of jeans and a tank top or tee so she doesn't get it messy. And from second grade on she'd pick which dress she'd wear for pictures.

  8. My kids dress themselves everyday for school.  How they dress for pictures is up to them.

  9. We have 3 out of 4 girls in school right now

    5½yr old in Pre-Primary

    and my step daughters

    12yrs old in Primary School - Year 7 &

    15yr old in HighSchool - Year 10

and all 3 wear their School Uniforms

Even in Kindergarten my 5yr old wore a uniform

Such a god send as it saves the hassle of what to wear and save on wear and tear on good clothes.

my 3yr old even has a uniform already - ready for Kindergarten next year lol

  10. I usually let them pick as long as it is not a color that washes them out. Normally if they like it they wear it even if the color is not so flattering on them, I do not say anything. But for pictures I just say, oh this color brings out your eyes or something. But I let them pick because I want it to look like them, not a fancy version of them. That I will do for Christmas pictures etc. but school pictures I think should look like they normally do within reason.

  11. In their uniforms :)

Oh, life is so much simpler with school uniforms...

  12. My 6 year old son decides what he wants to wear.  (within reason - I do not let him dress like batman).  I make sure his hair is combed and his teeth are shiny, and he doesn't have a dirty face.  The rest is up to him.  He ususally does a great job.

  13. I'm past grade-school, but I used to wear a nice blouse and whatever I wanted for bottoms (the pictures were from the chest up), which was usually jeans or shorts.
