  1. First step is to see the length and width of the table , draw a line from each corner with an angle of 45 degrees , then each corner will have the following areas of the formed shapes, one is half the area of triangle and a half area of the trapezoid , find out the total area affecting the corner , then multiply that with the expected live load on the table which is approximately is 0.2t/m^2, by doing that the load on each leg can be calculated.

  2. that depends on the point of attack of load, if you put for example, the load exactly on one leg is differnt than applying the load on the middle

  3. Assuming that:

    1) all legs are parallel with each other, and

    2) perpendicular to both table top and

    3) ground, and

    4) all legs are the same length,

    5) and the table is symmetrical in both axis,

    6) and the load on the table is evenly distributed,

    Then:

Each leg will then support 1/4 of the mass of the table top and object.
