  1. Every time I wear his White and brown UPS Jacket!!!

  2. I will remember DJ for the kind of man and race car driver he was.  He was always respectable of other drivers on and off the track and he was straight forward with you he also didn't blame someone else when something went wrong and if he did wrong he's own up to it.  I like DJ and I'm going to miss seeing him race. (at least he got to race the truck finally LOL)

  3. The first thing that pops in my head is when Joe Gibbs racing was formed, and Dale came over to run a Chevrolet from the dark side. I guess that's when I started to pay attention to him.

There were a couple very memorable Daytona 500 finishes along the way, but I will remember his character. He is well spoken just as Ned is, and he will be a great broadcaster for years to come.

  4. In a Wood Brother's... and a Robert Yates ''T-bird'' !!!

  5. I'll remember him as one of the nicest drivers in Nascar.  He finally got to race the truck before the all star race. That was way cool.

  6. Honest, sincere and a terrific person, would stay at the track all night to make sure all the fans that wanted his autograph would get it...he will not leave a fan disappointed ever..

he is one of the greats...and will be missed...

  7. Quality Care 88

  8. Two things. He beat Earnhardt to the checkered flag at the Daytona 500 more than once, and his last win at Talladega was an awesome thing to see.

  9. In the 88 Yates Ford when he won the championship. I also remember his last win at Talladega when he was sixth at turn 3 and with all the blocking ahead of him he sneaked by for the win.

  10. I won't have to remember him because he is going to the broadcast booth just like his Dad so even though he is not racing he will be at the races.  But seriously Dale is a clean driver and I will remember "Go Dale go" and Race the Truck.

  11. I will remember him as one of the most respected drivers.

He always offered a hand and has always been a figure in the garage. I feel he has left a big impression on everyone. I hope Jarrett continue's to have a wonderful life and I respect him for all he's done.

  12. well, for many things, but mainly for how he carried himself, on the track and off.  i love the story i heard about how he was found celebrating with junior, the two of them alone in the garage area, after the second daytona race in 2001 (where junior won, just months after senior's death).  junior and one of the correspondents on nascar both told the story of how much it meant to junior that dj wanted to be there with him on that special night...

as a sidenote: nascar.com has a poll on it's front page right now and the majority of people are answering "Racing the UPS Truck."  all the good he's done for racing, and they'll remember him most not for the three daytona 500 wins, not for the championship, not as one of nascar's 50 greatest drivers, but for racing the UPS truck.

    selah.

now i'll remember him every time i listen to him calling a race.

  13. I will remeber him as being in the way of the rest of the drivers and not moving over. I do not want to be disrespectable but for the last 4 or 5 years he has done nothing but make laps in a car, along with Terry Labonte, Kyle Petty,Bill Elliot, they have all lost the edge to compette.

  14. i will remember him as a very respectfull driver. For 15 years i been watchin , seein him go from 88 , racin along side of Dale Sr. I like D Jarret, & got lots of old stuff from his other cars hes raced. He Will Be MISSED!!!!!  just like dale sr, & DW................

  15. the two Daytona 500's, the Dale and Dale show.  He was a good racer, and told ya like it was. I remember at Bristol when (Shoot, now I cant remember his name). Anyway I think it was a Bush race and some young kid wrecked Jarret ( I wanna say it was our NASCAR Druggie), and Jarret went over and dropped his window net and ripped him a new one, than gave him a slap on the helmet. Then Jarret got the bird as he walked away. Lucky he didn't see it or Jarret would have snapped that finger!! Jarret will be missed on the track, he was fun to watch. And his last win at Talladega, man he wanted that. The caution came out, and he didn't slow, he wanted to make sure he was out front!!

  16. When he won the UAW-Ford 500 at Talledega in 2005 becuase that is the only race that I seen him win.

  17. I will always remember the way I felt when he won the 1999 Championship! That was like the best fellin ever! I will also remember how nice he was! He is just a cool guy all around!!

  18. Became a fan of his when he drove the number 32 Nestle Crunch Grand National(Busch-Nationwide) sportsman car.He would stay after races for hours to sign autographs and never blink an eye.
