How worried should i be about skin allergies?

i'm worried about what shampoo's and body washes to use when our son arrives. my husband is allergic to vitamin E, and i have problems with the "gentle" soaps such as dove. any suggestions?

Just stick with baby products they are pretty gentle. Guess it will be trial and error. I doubt if allergies will pass down though
