How would I apply to study in Germany?

Hi I am just about to start college (in the UK) and I am only 16 but I understand that if I wanted to study abroad then it will take longer to sort out than if I were to study in the UK.

I want to study languages and hopefully get a job in Germany and I think the best way for me to do that would be to study in the actual country.

So how would I go about applying? What are the visas/other documents that I would need? Is it a lot more expensive and am I elligible for grants or whatever?

Anybody done this? Planning to do this? Any advice?
