  1. equinehits.com

    equine.com

    horsetopia.com

    dreamhorse.com

    barrel horses.com

    ebarrelracing.com

  2. dreamhorse.com has stallion ads along with their classifieds.  You might also try stallionalley.com. Your local feedstore might also carry horsey newspapers and "horse trader" mags.  And you could always try your breed organization mags.

  3. http://www.horse-party.com/

or if you are after a certain breed - then look up their offical websites on line - www.arabianlines.com is good for arabs etc

  4. what breed?  you have a better chance of getting a good foal by using a stallion which is approved for breeding by his breed registry.  such as....

    paint horse registry

    oldenburg registry

    international sport horse registry

    american hanoverian society

    kwpn (dutch warmblood)

    qh association

    etc, etc, etc.

google your desired registry (an unregistered foal is not worth much) and see what stallions they showcase that are in oregon.

  5. What breed of stallion are you looking for and for what discipline?  That should be the first thing you decide upon when looking for a stallion.  If you tell us what you want, we will direct you to the right place.  Also, why do you need a stallion on Oregon?  With AI (Artificial insemination), you can use stallions from all over North America just as easily as you can locally, you have a much better selection of stallions to choose from and it's all around safer for your mare. Most vets can inseminate your mare for you.

    Edit:

Okay so what I do when looking for a stallion, once I know the discipline I am aiming for, I visit the organizations that  rule those types of gaming events, they are likely to keep a list of top national and regional gaming horses and often they will be able to provide you with the sire of those horses as well.  Research those stallions.   These are the studs that are throwing the offspring you want and I fully believe that pedigree predicts performance.  I don't know anything about Western riding, so I can't direct you to a governing website but I am sure there is one somewhere... hopefully one of the other responders can point you in the right direction.
