How would I find out how to rent a ship for a night?

I want to have an event on a boat for a night with a gathering of people, but i wasnt sure what exactly what I would be looking for on the internet or exactly where would I go. I dont want a full ship with just a captian. But a whole catering service among other things? So would I look on a cruise agency or something?

yes look at cruise liners, check out bays where yachts tied up ther must be someone willing to let you use their boat

If your close to a ferry system, try them for help.  I live in WA. and we have a system and it gets used for a lot of things.

Check the yellow pages for yacht brokers or boat charterers. They should be able to help you. If not, try the caterers. They may have other resources.
