How would I find out what girl names are the most/least popular in Germany?

I was stationed there (Army). There were lots of girls named Petra, Sabrina, Katia etc. There were lots of girls with American names too much to my suprise. It seemed like the youner generation had more americanized names. Hope that helps.

most popular girl names end with a vowel.  Sabine, etc.

Hi there. OK what Jams is saying is correct and can be found in google. But, when it comes to statistics, it allways all depends on how you look at it. Jams list shows the top recent names. If you want to know what the most liked name in Germany is then it would be Kathrina with all its variations such as Kathrin, Karin etc etc.. Kathrina is the name that has made it to the top 10 list of girls names the most since 1940.
