How would I get from Cairo to Giza?

Question

How would I get from Cairo to Giza?

Isn't the nile river in between the two towns?

And I'm pretty sure the current is too strong for a boat

Cairo International Airport is northeast of the city and Giza is just across the river to the west. It is the second largest suburb in the world with more than 2 million people.

There are bridges across the Nile and the flow is not terribly fast. The Nile valley  below the cataracts has a gentle slope.
