How would I get in on the oil speculation ride?

I hear about how speculators are making all the money... is there anyway I can cash in on this? Is it simple like buying stock?

Open a brokerage account at Zecco and buy the ETF UCR if you believe Oil will rise and buy the ETF DCR if you believe Oil will drop.

There is absolutely know way you will "cash in" on speculating in commodities, especially oil

Do know what Oil you want to trade???

Before you invest one cent, you better be very well educated in commodities and the various products that are traded in the market.

There's no way you're going to get a detail response this site that will give sufficient information to trade commodites

It is true that speculators are making all the money, but many speculators are also at risk of losing money.

I agree with 'A Nobody'.Speculating in the markets is very high risk, and may not be suitable for all investors.

If you want to learn how to speculate, then learn everything there is to know about it. Read as much as you can with regards to trading the markets. Open a demo trading account and learn how to trade. You need to define your own trading method--when to trade and when not to trade.

well, if you have a brokerage account, you can buy options in the USO, which tracks the price movement of crude oil.  If you are not sure about direction but think that it will be quite volatile, buy a call and a put at the same strike.   once you cover your costs, it's profit. this is called a long straddle.
