And what does an internship at a radio station usually entail? Would I just walk in the front door and say...Hi, I'm a mass comm. Major...Can I intern for you?

  1. There are a number of good schools that specialize in radio. Even if you're not in one of the partner schools for a scholarship, contact the John Bayliss Broadcast Foundation for more info. on internships.

Or just walk in the front door of every station within a 50 mile radius and tell them you will do anything for an internship. www.radio-locator.com

Bigger companies have structured programs, check their websites: Clear Channel, Cox, Cumulus, Citadel, Emmis, Entercom, Salem, CBS, Saga and others all have programs and are easy to find.
