How would I go about jailbreaking my ipod touch? the firmware is the latest.?

Okay, I'm not so sure how to do this.

Do I have to download a certain program to jailbreak it, and are there multiple programs that I can use. I would like the most popular program to do this, I don't want some "out there" app.

use winpwn. this will jailbreak the latest 2.0.1 firmware which will allow you to install apps from the app store and you can still install third party apps from Cydia or Installer 4.0 (still in beta). take a look at this video tutorial that this kid made. this is how i did it and it was easy.
