How would I go about patching up a rust spot on my truck?

I found a small rust spot on my truck. It's a hole about the size of a golf ball. Is there some kind of patch kit I can get for it? I can actually put my finger in the hole and feel the metal frame.

go to an auto parts store and get bondo. bondo the spot, and you will be able to paint over it
