How would I go about starting a band?

Im 17, and i've always wanted to be famous; such as in a band. I actually HAVE an electric guitar, but i've never really learned how to play it. (so if i was in a band, that's what i'd probably be doing.) None of my friends can really play an instrument or anything either. Although, one of my friends can kinda sing, i've never asked her about the whole band thing.

Any idea's on how to "get a band together"?

well i think if you wanted to be in a band you would have to start by getting people who play instruments (it won't work if you guys don't know how to play instruments trust me i know) and if your friend can kinda sing...either get her trained or get another singer if she can't sing that well your band won't be putting out its best work. and once yuo get all that just make a couple of songs and start out at local places im sure itll all go from there
