Question:

How would I go about studying great white sharks as a career?

I use to be terrified of them but the more I've learned,the more fascinated I am by them. Any help would be great,thanks!

  1. Look into marine biology courses offered at most ocean-side colleges and universities. Marine biology, icthiology, and oceanography are all fields to look into


  2. You can either work at marine parks or become a Marine Biologist specialized in Great Whites :)

  3. An Elasmobranch Biologist, or Icthiologist, or just a Marine Biologist

    Start off by volunteering or working at an aquarium, or if you can at a shark research. This will give you experience related to your future career and will look good on college and job applications.

    Go to a school that a marine biology degree, or Icthology degree/classes, or Elasmobranch degree/classes.

    Before, during, or at least after, see about doing an internship and getting more experience working with sharks.
