Planning a wedding...

Its either going to be in MI (where I live) or TX (where I'm moving to). Both states have a 3 day waiting period and are similar in how I would go about getting the license. I don't own anything with a title or anything and I don't have any bills of my own yet (as of right now I live with my parents). The only things I know for sure I have my name on is my government stuff like SS card and State ID and voters registration... and maybe a few other things. Are there forms I'm going to need? How much will this cost (besides marriage fees)? How long will this take?

  1. If your changing your name because you are getting married (maiden name to married name) In texas go to SS administration with your social security card and marriage license and they will change your name on your card. D.L. is the same thing. Not realy alot of hassel. Also if you choose, you dont have to change anything. My daughter has been married for 8 years and she still goes by her maiden. I live in Dallas thats how I now what to do in Texas.
