Question:

How would I graph data with dates like these? please help!?

k, so I have to graph the population of the years: 1650, 1750, 1850, 1900, 1930, 1940, 1950, 1960, 1970, 1980,1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, and finally 2005. But, these dates are of equal distance from eachother so how would I set up the graph?

please, I really need help with this!

  1. In Excel:

    Make a column with all the years from 1650 to 2000 in steps of 5 years.

    In the next column, put in the data you know, and leave the others blank.

    Select the two columns from 1650 to 2000 and the data.

    Insert Chart.

    Select the Type as a (straight) line with dots.

    In the chart, the data in the years from 1980 will be dots joined by lines, the others will just be dots.

    Or you could use Bar type chart; up to you.


  2. you could make a histograph or a bar graph or even a line graph
