  1. Install An anti virus software(Mcaffe, Norton etc.) and then scan your computer. I think thats the only common and safe way.

  2. You would need to scan your computer. If you want a free anti-virus I recommend in order of popularity, but please choose the right one for you (install only one):

    1. AVG Free

    a. A simple interface (easier to use than Avast! and Avira)

    b. Can detect about 82.82% of viruses

    Cons: low virus detection

    2. Avast!

    a. Real-time protection

    b. It has an option to delete a virus once found

    c. Can detect about 87.46% of viruses.

Cons: Too many icons and confusing user interface

    3. Avira AntiVir

    a. It can detect malware better than Avast and AVG

    b. It's cute umbrella icon

    c. Can detect about 94.26% of viruses

    Cons: A very sluggish update

  3. Run a virus scanner at least once a week I run mine 3 days out of 7. But run yours a often as you want. If it takes long just give it time.

  4. if your computer becomes very slow and unexpected programes are running without any your command like your dvd rom opens without giveing any instruction.

if u insert a pendrive in your system and then insert it in another system and if shows virus then your system is virus affected.

  5. its very simple scan your entire computer it nearly takes 20minutes, then it  gives you the list of scanned objects how much viruses , threats  are  found moreover it even shows warnings also if  at all any virus  is  present.

the best  antivirus  software  is AVG ANTIVIRUS.  which we can download from yahoo free downloads.

it is even easy to install.  but  you need to  update it every  day.  for downloading it  takes nearly  1hr ,  for installation it takes 10minutes  minimum.

for every  day to update it takes 2minutes,  i  think it's  not a big  time  for you.

i am  myself  using this  AVG ANTIVIRUS   nearly  from 2years,  i never  got  any  problem  regarding  virus  or  anything.

i  can say it is 100% the  best  try  it  out.

  6. by running an antivirus scan..install AVG/AVIRA if you want freeware or install kaspersky if you'r going with paid one..

update the antivirus after installing and run a full system scan ..even install spybot to check for spywares if you install freeware antivirus softwares..

  7. Try a online virus scan here are some address to try Safety.Live.com...TrendMicro.com...get some protection Comodo.com is offering a complete security suite free and yes they can be trusted if you want to do it yourself I recommend Avira.com along with Safer-Networking.org(spybot search&destory) or SpywareBlaster from majorgeeks.com or Lavasoft.com...MalwareBytes.org is another good one to consider althrough the last two don't offer free protection some even recommend two anti-spyware scanners just to be on the safe side the other bit of advice i have to offer is external firewalls they hardwire to the machine with usb or firewire hook up now thats cutting edge tech.Remember paid is usally better than free however since Comodo.com kind offer that may not be the case anymore

  8. just go to my computer

    then goto tols folder option

then goto view show hidden folder if u are able to see hiden folder then there is probabely no virus in ur computer and if u want more satisfaction u can use antivirus

  9. your computer run slowly......

  10. I'm running threatfire. It's free anti-virus and anti spyware, works with all the other programs and jumps on anything that misbehaves. It's won several awards in the past year. So far I'd recommend it on it's simplicity and not hogging my PC.

Try it, because it's one program rather than the usual 2 or more.

  11. scan full computer with any updated antivirus like avg or bitdefender you can get it free from the internet

symptons are applications will close or run automatically

    task manager will get disable

you will be not able to open any drive which is infected
