Say I had a growing operation of my own inside this corn field, is there a sign or something I should watch for to know when I should harvest my crops so the farmer doesn't harvest his field and destroy my stuff before I can harvest/move it?

  1. Ask your local police department. They will know!

  2. hmmmm...Crop within a crop....clever.. ;-)

Is he harvesting sweet corn for human consumption or plain ole corn for livestock etc. ?

    That's the question...

My guess is that he's harvesting for livestock and or ethenal...He'll wait until the stocks AND the corn itself is comepletely dry and he actually has time to harvest it...

  3. Mojos is right. Sweet corn will be harvested about the time the tassles on the ears start to turn brown and dry up. Corn for grain, wheter for people food, livestock or ethanol will be harvested when the stalks have dried up.
