It's like building a radio receiver.

If you do a web search on Frank's Box, there is one video of a man playing around with buttons and dials on a black box.

He was trying to capture EVP's on the spot, and communicating with the dead.

The thing is, he's doing this experiment in a room full of people that are talking with each other, moving their chairs around, and so forth.

There was no way that he could prove his device worked because it was picking up the conversations in the room.

I don't know because i think its nonsense. do you really think that spirits that have passed on have nothing better to do then sit around chatting with people? you can't contact anyone who isn't directly connected to you. i.e. your angels/spirit guides. and you don't need some weird a** gizmo to do that. just speak to them. they will hear you and if you really believe deep down that they are there then they will communicate back, be it through speech or sign. maybe even show them selves. they are always around you. ask them to show them selves or that you would like to see them. focus on this and keep trying. you have to speak aloud though. and it may take awhile but it should work eventually.

I'm thinking about making one of these myself. The only way to really know whether or not this stuff is for real is to check it out for yourself and experiment with it. Have you tried making one yet?

To make one, you need to get a copy of the electronic schematic, go get a "breadboard" from Radio Shack and the necessary components and start soldering it together. If you've never done electronics work before, this will be very difficult. However, I'd encourage you not to waste your time.

"Frank's Box" is basically an AM radio receiver mixed in with a white noise generator, which someone familiar with electronic engineering can see from the circuit schematic (read the article on Frank's box at the link below). That's pretty much it. There's no reason to think it's picking up anything paranormal and EVERY reason to think it's picking up random radio transmissions.
