How would I naturally boost my immune system?

Because of my chronic pain I have a very low immune system and I'm constantly feeling out of it and getting sick. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can naturally boost my immune system to help make my day to day life more fulfilling and healthy?

  1. Stop using things like hand sanitizers! They kill germs and sometimes if your body doesn't get a chance to kill them itself your immune system will weaken.  Also, Zinc is great...

Pain does not cause a low immune system.  Whatever ailment causes the pain might.  But not pain itself.  And pain is a symptom that something is wrong.  It is your body saying 'Hey wake up I am not working right'.  You need to address the source of the pain first and foremost.  As for your immune system, eat your veggies and fruits and take a multivitamin and limit your salt and sugar intake.  If your not big on fruits and veggies, get a juicer and make a veggie juice with a fruit to make it palatable and drink it down.  Make sure you get your protein and carbs too.  And find exercises that you can do and do thirty minutes a day.  

    Basically just eat a healthy diet and find a doctor that can properly address your pain issue.  Second, third, 4th opinion and so on until you get results.

  3. A diet of mostly whole, raw foods (fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, fresh juices) will greatly improve your digestion, which improves circulation, which boosts the immune system.

    Vitamin C, echinacea, and amino acids might help but are not as consistent with results as zinc when put to scientific scrutiny. Also some of those special yogurts.

    Yoga could also help because many postures stimulate your glands to produce more of your bodies natural defensive goodies. A good teacher could help modify postures for your problems.

    Too strenous of exercise too often will weaken your immune system.

    It seems like there is an epidemic of constipated, toxic, immune suppresed folks in Altie land.  I don't know how they get through the day.

    These are all false diagnoses, and delusional ideas.

    I'm sorry you suffer from chronic pain, but to say that is the cause of your self diagnosed faulty immune system is a stretch.  You don't say why you have chronic pain, but that often leads to depression which people may misinterpret in various ways.  Please see a pain specialist and get proper treatment...I predict all your other problems will clear up.

    There is no such thing as "boosting the immune system" outside of proper nutrition, sleep and regular exercise.   Echinacea has no clinically proven benefits inspite of its supposed reputation as a cold & flu treatment.

    The false promises and potions sold by Alties may give you some temporary relief from the placebo effect of 'doing something rather than nothing'...but that is all.

  9. Make sure you get your daily intake of probiotics (natural organic yougurt....probiotics come in pill and powder form as well)

    Echinechea is a very good immune booster...get in the habit of taking that around cold ond flu season.

    Eating healthy and exercise makes your immune system stronger as well.

    Only take medication when you really need to .  Give time for your body to fight off an illness...it is just like your body...the more u work it the stronger it will get.

Watch BBC-Alternative Medicine Herbs documentery, which shows the herbs being scientifically evaulated by a Professor of Medicine at Bristol University, England.

    Also, look into the MERCK patent, 1946, how to produce Hyperimmune milk. What this invlolves is when the cow is gestating, not yet having produced milk, you inject 10cc of your blood up the teet of the cow's udder, infused not injected into the udder. You do this for 3 consecutive weeks, then when the milk is produced you freeze it in bags, and drink it over the next few months.

    The hyperimmune milk contains various antigens, and cytokines {chemcials that augment the immune system by allowingwhite blood cells to communicate}, once drunk this helps with infections, this technique was made by MERCK Pharmaceuticals, prior to the advent of antibiotics, it is verry useful.     Also drink freshly made orange juice, 25oranges a day, that will make about 2 pints of orange juice. Or 1-2g of magnesium ascorbate poweder. This is known in the field of orthomolecular medicine to increase immunity. Some even claim they have never suffered from a cold/flu in years since following the exacting discipline daily.

    Omega 3 also helps with white blood cell strength, i strictly reccommend the Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega brand, or the Carlson's brand {added fat solube vitamins}, as they are pharmaceutical grade, and used in clinical trials. Glutamine powder is makes white blood cells, 4500mg per day, dissolved in warm water or organic milk. Look into Gerson Therapy, involves juicing raw organic fruit/vegetables, this increases immunity and fights disease, and more importantly, prevents it.

    Rife Technology therapy can help boost your immune system, as well as devitalise pathogens in your blood. Also the Bob Beck Protocol can help fight pathogens, and strengthen your immune system.

    Exercise is known to boost immunity.

    Read 'The pH Mircale' by Dr. Young, your body needs to be slightly alkali to work at its best, in addition pathogenic microbes cannot thrive in an alkali environment, only an acidic one.     Vitamins & Minerals

    Further your immune strength is totally dependant on an optimal intake of vitamins and minerals. Dificiency of vitamins A, B1, B2 and B5 have mild immune-boosting effects compared with B6. The production of antibodies, so critical in any infection, depends upon B6, as does T-cell function. The ideal daily intake is 50-100mg of B6. B12 and folic acid {rich in organic spinach/dark green leafy vegetables} also both appear essential for proper B-cell and T-cell function. B6, Zinc and Folic acid are all needed for the rapid production of new immune cells to engage the enemy {pathogenic microorganisms}.     Probiotics - Nature's Antibiotics

    The Immune Boosting Diet

    Watermelon Juice - Blend both the flesh and seeds in a blender. The seeds are rich in protein, zinc, selenium, Vit E, and EFA's {essential fats}. Drink a pint for breakfast and another pint during the day, at work or when you get home.

    - A good high strength multivitamin/mineral
