I would like to be able to operate each switch independently of the others just like I would be able to turn a lamp off, but the pendants will be hard wired, not plugged in. I would also like to know how low I can place a switch, as I would like to be able to hide them behind the nightstands if possible. I've heard you can place switches lower for handicap accessibility and for kids rooms, but I haven't heard of a minimum height.

  1. One hot wire in feeds to all three switches.  Each switch has a wire going to a different fixture.  All fixtures are connected to a common neutral line.
