How would I separate a mixture of sand, water, kool-aid, and sugar from each other?

  2. drink it. the water will go to your kidneys , the koolaid mix and sugar to your blood as calories, the sand to your bowels .  

  3. Sand can be removed by filtration, water by evaporation.

    Separating kool-aid from sugar will be very difficult, if not impossible.

    The only way I could think to do it would be fractional crystallization: separate out the sugar from the other stuff in the kool-aid, then mix whatever isn't sugar to get back the kool-aid mixture.

    You must remember that there is an entropy cost to separating mixtures...
