How would I ship my bike and how much would it cost?

I have an expensive full carbon fiber bike. I would like to ship it to where I am going but I dont know how or how much it would cost. It is less than 20lbs. However I am worried it will be damaged. How do I ship it? How much would it cost? and should I just sell it?

i wouldn't advise going in the sea on your bike

Go to your local bike shop and have them professionally pack it. It might cost $50-100 for this service, but it's probably worth it. Then you can send it UPS or Fed Ex.  The shipping cost might be $50 or so depending on where you're shipping it from.  Make sure you get the insurance in case something happens. It might not be a bad idea to photograph the bike before it gets packed up, too.
