How would I solve this equation using factoring? And how would I show my steps?

5x^2 = 2x - 7x^2

  1. 5x^2 = 2x - 7x^2

    Since x is common to all three terms, we can factor out x.

    x*5x = x*(2 - 7x)

    divide both sides by x

    5x = 2 - 7x

    5x + 7x = 2

    12x = 2

    x = 2/12 = 1/6
