  1. Here again watch video clips of the dog whisperer on this site http://www.cesarmillaninc.com/.  He also has a show on Nat Geo

make sure you give your dog alot of attenion because he/she may feel replaced by the cat -

  3. After a while your dog and cat will most likely get along with each other.  I know that when we had dogs and cats, my cats loved the dogs and the dogs loved the cats.  Its just a phase and your dog is probably more interested and curious than anything.  It'll stop soon.

  4. dogs usually chase cats. didnt you think about that before you got the cat.

  5. If you have a new pet   then try to get a little pen for one of the animals

and that way if someone tries to pick a fight then put him/her in the other room

  6. I have 3 cats and went and got a Cavalier king Charles and the cats stayed out of his way at first, now the 2 adult cats just ignore him. The kitten is always being chased by the pup but when I know they are only playing I leave them but I also have a cage to put the pup in when he is too excited which just gives the kitten a break till pup calms. Also give the dog a toy or rawhide to distract him from the cat so the cat gets a break and so do you. I have had pup for 6 weeks and they both sit on my lap asleep every mornin while I have my wake up cuppa in my recliner now

  7. How old is the cat.  Animals will more readily accept a baby animal than and older one.  Obviously your not going to take the one you have back for a new one.  May I suggest a collar which my sister in law got once for her dog when it kept chasing her neighbours cat.  The collar comes with a remote control and everytime the dog went for the cat she pressed the remote.  This sent a tiny shock to the dog which was totally harmless but enough to stun the dog a little and then then dog began to connect this with chasing the cat and within a few days he stopped.

    Hope it works out.

  8. Sell one of them.

  9. it was a tad silly gettin a cat when you have a dog in fairness........
