  1. Simplest way... make the photograph in a dark room. Spot light tight on your model. Use gobos or light shields to keep stray light from hitting the background.

  2. any lens, what your missing is photography is about light and lighting,

have black background and use barndoors or screens so your key and/or fill lights dont hit the background

  3. The type of lens or camera does not matter. It's the skill and knowledge of the photographer that does. I would say use a few speedlights, two on the side, and one above, not to mention one on the camera. That, along with a dark background and post process in Photoshop.

  4. You can do that in camera, or with a program like photoshop.  In camera, you would keep your subject somewhat far away from the background, and keep a light source on your subject.  The best effect will be in an area that isn't very light to begin with.

In a program like photoshop, you paint over the background with black.

  5. Set up a dark background or a distanced one, set a light on the subject but make sure it doesn't touch the back and take a couple of test shots.

You can decrease exposure in the camera or in photoshop also!

  6. the photo was left to remain very natural...it's possible that it was much brighter to begin with, but a bit of editing will give you this effect...especially when you add black to the photo...which brings out the colors...then there was possibly a light screen of yellow placed upon the photo...it's very simple if you know how to do it...if you would like me to edit a photo like that...of yours...i can...for free...and i've had numerous people love the photo's that i've done...then i could go step by step and tell you what i did...
