How would I take down my ceiling?

My fake ceiling was added for some reason since it's an old house. It's the office type kind of ceiling and you just push up to move the tiles.

Do I just repeatedly do that to all of the tiles in my room?

Yep.  But you will also have to remove the metal frame that holds the tiles.  This is usually wired to the old ceiling in the center of room and affixed to the walls around the edges.  There will need to be some patching that will have to be done on the removed fastener holes.
