How would I take the train from Philadelphia to Boston?

What trains would I take? Where would I stop? About how long would it take?

There are about 10-11 trains a day in each direction.  You use 30th street station in Phila, and south station in Boston.

Max running time is  just over 6 hours.

They are thru trains, you don't change trains anywhere. Round trip fare is about $ 250.,00.

FYI, the view between Phila and NY is, well, forgettable, but the view once you get past New York is very, very scenic.
