How would I write a letter dated in the 1700s?

Well. :S i have no idea how they wrote letters? Did they end letters with "sincerely" or something? Please help!

  2. Go to the library or look up on the internet the letters of people from that period.  A lot of John Adams and Ben Franklin letters exist from that era.

  3. they for the most part were vary sincere check my source for a link to letters Benjamin Franklin wrote in the 1700's  its hard to reproduce its style and flow without a lot of effort

    So to answer your letter how to end up a letter dated of 1700 just put the end of the  letter, yours respectfully and sign your name.

    As simple as that.

  7. What country were you referring to? There would be differences between letters from America and England for example. What sort of letter? If It's a personal letter, it would be fairly reserved and showing a degree of gentility no matter where it originated.
