Just found out that I am a father. Baby is 5 months old. Has anyone ever went through the courts to sign over rights? What do you think?

  1. You're 50 percent responsible for this child's existence. You should support that child in every possible way - being in that kid's life as much as possible, especially for important events. Child support would also be great, considering that this is your kid.

If you don't want to man up and be responsible for things that you've done, you need to stop procreating. Planned Parenthood does vasectomies for less than what you'll end up paying in child support.

  2. I commend you on your decision.  I don't think the courts will give you any problem with signing over your rights.  There are to many people that would stay around and be involved with their child that they produced,.

  3. Get your vas defrens blocked off if you cant take care of the kids you make.

  4. only if the child were going to be adopted.  otherwise, you can not hide from you legal responsibilities.  moral responsibilities are another subject.

  5. yes go to family court and have the order done think long and hard, if you do this your child and you will never have a relationship you can still be in the child's life w/o her, if you still want to then fine but you will most deff pay child support not getting outta that one.

  6. regardless of you not wanting the child's mother in your life, you are still responsible for the support of that child.  Most men think that if they petition the court to end their parental rights, they are no longer obligated to pay child support, but that's untrue.  Next time, wear a condom.  It's not the poor child's fault that you and the mother were so irresponsible.

  7. You can legally sign over your parental rights to the mother.

You would need a lawyer for this. Don't know how long it'll take but she will have to agree to this, or else, you'll be in family court discussing child support.

And if you can't care for a child, don't spread your seed please.
