The site would be about personal things, not dirty things. The site would be to give and get advice to others. Is there a way to do this and what would the chances of making money on talk sites be?

  1. try joining sites that's similar to what you like and check out how they go about with things. when you get to learn the business, you can start your own.

  2. Is its a personal advise service, then its best if you set up a blog - you can create one for free at blogspot.com.

Basically use the first few posts to get people interested and ask them to submit their questions. For the next posts, you can discuss their problems give advise, etc - and others can comment on your advise to create a conversation.

Be sure to dprinkle google adsense all over your blog for advertising click revenue. At that point you have a small business on the web; ie: you build traffic, traffic sees your ads, traffic clicks your ads, you make money.

Alternatively, if your advise is very good, then you can begin charging for it - though this gets complicated - you'll need to set up a paypal account or figure out another way to get the money. I wouldn't advise this until you build up a good following as you don't want high price to scare customers away from building your site in the beginning stages; so focus on adsense ads and plan to charge on individual basis later on.

  3. I am not familiar with web business before, while after working in a foreign company, I finally get a little knowledge about this. So I think you will know it if you know some business things.
