  1. well  my friend i have heard that question a thousand times and i will answer it the same way i do every time.Mike tyson would have destroyed a prime larry holmes.larry was slower than mike and he would let himself get hit alot.mike would ko him early.larry holmes was no were near as good as ali.besides larry was still a good fighter when he fought tyson and tyson knocked him out.as far as ali goes you can't say ali would have destroyed tyson and you can't say tyson would have destroyed ali.they were both great fighters, but lets look at there weakness.ali was always haveing problems with fighters that pushed him like joe frazier.tyson was subseptable to the jab.but tyson had an iron chin and ali was so fast.i always say imagine what frazier did and add alot more strength to his punches.tyson in his prime was amazing,as was ali.but in the end i think it would be a toss up.eather fighter could win.

  2. He would have gotten his azz kicked!

  3. Ali would school him, Tyson would have his moments but overall Ali would be ahead and stop Tyson in the late rounds.

Muhammad Ali could land strait right hands without setting it up with the jab. Thats still unmatched today...Jones has done it a few times.

Ali would Jab Tyson waiting for Tyson to come in and catch Tyson with uppercuts and overhand rights till Tyson caved. At 6'4" tall and a huge reach Ali would take Tyson apart.

Tyson never has done well against good Jabbers. Ali had a chin that was unmatched. And the comparison between Tyson and Frazier you cant make because Frazier was a tougher then nails determined big punch heavyweight, Tyson would have the speed on Frazier but not the chin. Frazier's defence was and ability to get inside and avoid punches matched Tysons, probubly a little better.

Tyson-Holmes might be a bit closer, But Holmes Jab would destroy Tyson and totally offset Tysons rushes, I dont see him getting close enough to get off against a prime Holmes.

    Holmes by UD

If its a 15 round fight Holmes stops him in 13

I think Jeff B is retarded

  4. ali dances rings around tyson and stops him by the 10th round.

holmes out jabs tyson and wins by decision or late rounds stoppage if it's a 15 rounder.

ali and holmes are all time greats, and tyson could've been but he threw it away.

  5. If its tyson- ali, then i would go for ali becuase he would teach tyson a boxing lesson by staying on the outside using his jab then follwing up with a right hand,,

Tyson would try to go on the inside and use his famous uppercut but would be able to land it,

    So ALI NO DOUBT..

  6. I believe Tyson would have lost to Ali by decision with no knockdowns.

I also believe Tyson would have lost to Holmes in a thriller by decision with both going down once.

  7. Tyson winner be KO 1st round, both fights, guaranteed!

  8. I see a bunch of boxing dummies here. In their primes tyson would destroy them both. Ali was fast and tyson was as fast as well. Tyson was too strong. If tyson was able to penetrate the Defense he would win. If yall didnt know tyson could take a punch.

  9. I have answered this question many times and i broke down the fights as well but i won't bore you too much with that, anyway this is what would happen (i summarized it for you)

Tyson vs ali- This fight would be very interesting because Ali in his prime always had trouble with peek a boo users (like frazier) he preferred to control fights from a distance relying on speed and reflexes, Tyson on the other hand was very hard to keep away in his prime, he weaved and ducked his way into opponents'defenses to land deadly hooks and uppercuts, however he had trouble against guys that weren't afraid to fight him and keep him away with good jabs (tony tucker, lennox lewis), In my opinion this would be a very exciting fight because their styles are almost polar opposites (tyson-direct and up close) (ali circular and from the outside) and this fight would be a lot closer than people think, if frazier could give ali trouble then tyson could definetely give him a lot of trouble in the ring, however ali had two advantages going for him, ali feared no one and tyson easily lost heart when he could not intimidate opponents (frazier on the other hand was extremely brave) and Ali was also a psychological boxer who knew how to get into people's heads, he would frustrated mike throughout the fight calling him names and insulting him while throwing quick jabs and combinations this would have frustrated mike even more and that would have given ali the mental edge in this fight to win a decision (i seriously doubt that there would be a knock out in this fight)

Tyson vs holmes- In his prime holmes was a skillful and technical fighter with a powerful and fast jab that could knock out opponents, he was good on his feet and had a very impressive defense, his two major flaws were that he usually kept his hands low when not fighting and sometimes he got cocky with the wrong kinds of opponents (that was his mistake against spinks, he left himself open and underestimated spinks's speed and that why he lost the fight) he would have probably made that mistake with tyson and that would have been deadly because  tyson is not the kind of opponent you play with, his hooks could end fights. The fight would have been quite interesting and would have lasted longer than the four rounds  which their real fight lasted, homes would dominate the early rounds keeping tyson away with his jab and moving around the ring forcing tyson to chase him, if he fights smart he would do that for the entire fight and earn a decision, but if he decided to stay put and trade punches with mike he woulld eat mike's glove for dinner (again his tendency to leave himself open when he should keep his guard up would play a part in this fight) anyway i think that holmes could get a decision in this fight if they fought in their primes however mike always has a puncher's chance.

  10. he would lose to holmes in 12 rounds probably 9-3 or something close. we gotta remember tyson was a hitter he wasn't trained to go 12 rounds using well placed jabs and distance fighting.  Holmes would have kept the fight boring and slow. Tyson might beat ali due to the generational gap and training techniques. Ali was only 205-210 in his prime but fought much slower fighters.  i think tyson would have beaten ali but not by KO, but it could easily go to ali if he kept the jab in tyson face something very few fighters did against tyson until the realize it was he weakness.

  11. I don't care who says other wise I do not think Larry Holmes had lost much when he faced Tyson and lost by KO early. Larry Holmes a few years later came back and lost a decision to a prime Holyfield!! He was a man that relied on a quick jab, but Tyson was so much FASTER!! I think he KO's Holmes in a couple of rounds.

I also see Tyson as a bigger, stronger, and faster Frazier... So if Frasier gave Ali ALL he could handle 3 times... What do you think Tyson would do to him?

  12. Ali beat other men that were considered great fighters (Liston, Frazier, Foreman) to a lesser degree (Lyle, Shavers, Norton, Williams, Patterson)

Holmes dominated his division for 8yrs! Unfortunately he came up at a time when the division was weaker. Though he beat Shavers & Norton.

What great fighter in their prime did Tyson beat? None!

Both Ali and Holmes were far superior to Buster Douglas!

Tyson got schooled by Douglas at 24 yrs old! Douglas won 8 out of 9rounds then KO'd Tyson.

Tyson dominated the division for 3 yrs, then the competition got tougher and Mike got KO'd by Holyfield and Lewis!

Tyson loses to both.  He may have a punchers chance against Holmes, as Holmes was hurt by Weaver and Snipes, neither had the power of Tyson.

Ali had a rock solid chin! Foreman, Frazier, Lyle, Liston and Shavers had great power. Only Frazier knocked him down, for a 2 count.
