  1. Certainly, the American would have to be a Muslim first in order to marry a Saudi, if they were going to marry in Saudi Arabia. If he didn't grow up Muslim, he'd have to convert to Islam, or it wouldn't be possible under Islamic law. Of course, he'd also need her family's permission, Muslim or not. If they were both in the US, under US law, they'd be free to do as they please since US civil law is not based on Sharia.

  2. An American can't get married to a Saudi Arabian because an american is a christian and a saudi arabian is a muslim...and they have different ways of marriage and festivals.

  3. You can marry ur Saudi Arabian citizen if u convert to Islam. In Malaysia u have to convert from ur religion to Islam if u want to marry Muslim. Malaysia have Shariah and Civil Law.

Not all Saudi Arabian is Islam.

  4. Go to Saudia Arabia and fall in love.

Hollywood is waiting to shoot the movie

  5. Whereas an American can essentially be of any religion - Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Moslem, etc. practically all Saudis are Muslims.

So, there are two practical issues:

    1. What are the religions of the participants, and

    2. Where are they located.

If they are located in the US, they can go through civil marriage irrespective of the religion; just make sure they don't return to Saudi Arabia if one of the spouses is non- Muslim.
