  1. Well generaly, My friend and I have worn our club shirts to tryouts. Plus, in general, the coaches can tell who have skills and who's first time ever touching a volleyball is.

They genneraly are just a lot more understanding in the concept of things.

  2. Club players know all the volleyball terms and a lot of techniques

  3. if you tell them or if they know your coach or if they scout your club tournaments

  4. This is a pretty simple question actually.

They will know because you will tell them whether you are or not.

Now, as far as magically learning whether you are or not by observation:

Club players get more touches on the ball and have more coaches in their lives, therefore they are a step ahead.

However, like vballa19 said, some players are natural athletes and can catch on fairly quickly without club.

But the numbers of club athletes outweigh the natural athletes in most girls high school teams. If a coach sees a player doing well, they will say, "Do you play club volleyball?" then they will learn the answer, taking the guessing out of it.

On a sidenote, why do players think coaches are these all-knowing, no-mistake making people that they can't talk to or else face the consequences?

So many questions, this one included, are about "what position should I play?", "How will the coach know if I have asthma?" or "will the coach think I can't play if I don't serve well?"

High school sports is about learning, it's not the be all and end of your life. Even if you win the state championship, you will go on to bigger and better things in your life and the state championship will be a small blip on your life story.

Talk to coaches, we don't bite. Ask us questions, it;s what we are there for.

  5. you tell them. then they can also see by yourability to play/

  6. Generally I would say there are two things.

Knowledge of the game, various sets, and attack combinations could set club players apart.

Also, I think club players are more often comfortable with a faster offense.

Those are two things that a coach could spot, but then there is just how well the player executes the various skills. But non-club players can have good mechanics too.

These are my thoughts anyway. Hope this helped.

  7. If you're "just as good" they probably wouldn't. But typically the club players stand out because of the extra experience.
