  7. I never cure fever.  Fever is not an ailment.  It is a body defense mechanism.  It is a symptom.  If the fever is high the body needs medical assistance for the root cause which has to be addressed. Due to continuous fever certain damages in the body are possible in such cases, the spunging of the forehead and body could be resorted to to alongwith mild medication to keep it within control.  Medicines directly focused at lower of fever should not be resorted to in the normal cases unless there is no choice.

Fevers are of different nature and accordingly the cause of the disease can also be understood to some extent.  It can be continuous, high fever, low grade fever, intermittent fever, fever with chill, fever with shivering, fever preceded by cold, sore throat, etc. fever with red colouration, fever with eruptions, fever with chill goind up and down the spine.  fever with chill going down the spine, fever with body pain, fever with back pain, fever with shoulder pain, fever with whole body aching intolerably., fever with vomiting and nausea, fever starting at specific times like 2a.m., fever when on bed, fever in the night only, fever without sweating, fever with sweat,. sweat do not relieve fever, fever with fear of death or predicting the time of death,  thus goes the unending list of fevers and accordingly, the source and cause of the fever can be located and appropriate medicines administered.  The fever will subside automatically when the underlying malady is addressed.   Presently, the worst kind of fever you can think of is Dengue:  The high fever may be followed by severe body pain, intolerable body pain (back and shoulders in particular), nausea, vomaiting, dehydration, redness of face and all over the body, tiredness or fatigue, dryness of lips and throat, headache, sore throats, dyspnea and other complications may follow.  Rhus Tox 1M one dose followed by Eupetorium Perfoliatum 30 or 200 according to severety of the fever has been found to abort the malady on onset itself.  Use of juice of Papaya leaves two times a day two spoons have been found curative for reduced platelets.

  8. A fever cannot be cured. It's just a symptom that your immune system is fighting against something.

Either you let it fight if it doesn't last too long (the best thing to do), or you find out what it is fighting against and find a cure for that.

If fever gets high (around 40 C) or lasts more than 3 days, consult a doctor.

In the meantime, drink plenty of water to keep the fluids running and eliminating toxins.

  9. Tylenol, lukewarm bath and lots of liquids (water).

If the fever becomes 104F or higher, go to an Emergency Room. If it lasts more than 5 days, see your doctor.
