  1. Make sure you look for a STAFF position, not a CREW one.

(Staff are the receptionists, photo, spa, gift shops, casinos..., crew are waiters, cabin people etc)

In the gift shops division 2 major concessionaries have most ships:

    www.hardingbros.co.uk

interviews over the phone, pays better, better work evironement... less ships

    or

    http://www.starboardcruise.com/

interviews are a bit of a pain, pays less, work evironement is crappy, but has 90 ships, including the major Carnival, Royal etc.

Remember the gift shops usualy are closed on port so you have days off and can see the sights.

I did it for 10 years, it´s pretty cool

Off course there are crappy ships...

  2. Go to indeed.com and type in cruise on the job box and hit return or click on this link: http://www.indeed.com/jobs?q=cruise&l=

or directly on the cruise company career/job sites:

    http://royalcaribbean.hire.com/index.htm...

    http://employment.princess.com/employmen...

Here's another site with more info on getting jobs on cruise ships:

  3. It all depends what sort of work you would like to do onboard. When I applied, I sent applications to about 30 different places, and the first one that offered me a job I took. (Although it wasn't what I really wanted to do) then after working onboard for about 20 weeks I transfered to the department I was really after.

The easiest way to get a job would be through the concessions like gift shop & salon (harding Bros in the UK) or photography or even casino.

And yes it is a great job, you meet lots of really wonderful people from all around the world (that's how I met my husband). Everyone works hard 7 days a week - it will seem tough to start with but it does get easier as you get used to it! So don't let anyone scrare you off.

    Good Luck!

  4. Go to the website of any major cruiseline and click on Employment opportunities.
