How would i be able to look up my estranged grandfather to see if he has passed?

This is a VERY VERY long story..My family on that side is pretty psychotic...they can get mad at each other and not talk to eachother for years! I haven't seen him in 3 years because my father and my grandfather are in a fight. That side of the family has TERRIBLE cholesteral and blood pressure. My gradfather had his first heart attack when he was in his early 30's. For all i know he could be dead. So i have decided to look him up.I have tried googling his name and birthday and everything.I tried White Pages but he moves around alot. I'm pretty sure he is still in Georgia though. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
