How would i become a doctor?

i live in the united states starting high school in a week what classes should i take in high school and what are some good colleges and med schools

In High School, just get a well-rounded curriculum, do very well, participate in extracurricular activities.  That will help you get into a good University.  THERE is where you start to get heavy in the sciences.  Remember , you are supposed to be an educated person, so include more than just science.  The Pre-Med curriculum includes plenty.  Just be sure to work hard enough to get a 3.8 or above GPA.  In Medical School , they will teach you what you need to know.   As to which is the best University or Medical School, that is a very difficult question to answer.  The big names are Hopkins,  Colombia, Duke,for example - but now I have every Emory grad angry.  The essence is that all the American schools turn out outstanding physicians, and how outstanding you are is up to you more than to the School.

take ap classes in the sciences if your school offers them, as well as honors. its tough - don't take it as a joke, but if you really want to reach your goal...everything is possible..just work hard..and if you do bad don't give up..get a tutor or something =]

It would be best for you to take the sciences especially biology and chemistry pay attention to your math class, then you also need to know what kind of doctor you want to become . Talk to teachers and do some community work at your local hospitals and clinics to see if that is what you really want to do. It depends on where in the U.S you are for you to browse colleges but if you want to travel there are alot of good schools throughout check the internet for top 10 medical schools in the U.S and start reading reviews, career outlook, graduation percentage and what the student body has to say and of course look at the awards the school as obtained over the years.
