How would i enroll from one tribe into another differan tribe?

IVE BEEN ENROLLED INTO THE SISSETON WAHPETON OYATE WHEN I WAS A CHILD.AND JUST RECENTLY FOUND OUT I HAD MORE BLOOD FROM MY MOTHERS TRIBE WHICH IS THE CROW TRIBE IN MONTANA!AND IVE DECIDED TO ENROLL THERE..BUT DONT KNOW HOW TO DO IT?

DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHO.HOW AND WHAT STEPS I WOULD NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO ENROLL??

  1. Try calling the Crow tribe. It looks like you have to give up the first tribal membership before you can enroll in the Crow tribe, so thats a little more complicated than if you weren't ever a member of another tribe.

    My advice is call the Crow and see what they want you to do, then call the Sisseton Wahpeton and see how to disenroll. I don't know how disenrollment is done, sorry.

    The number on their website is at the very bottom right of the page. Its the only one I could see, it doesn't look like there is a specific phone # listed for enrollment info.

  2. you have to be on the Dawes roll, which shows that you are registered native american.  But to change tribes I think you have to have some proof of your mothers heritage..birth cert or something.
