  1. There is a book at the library for researching old stock certificates and companies.

The only online places I have found wanted $50 for doing the research.

But most old stock certificates are only pretty wallpaper. The fact people have them usually means the company was bought out or went bankrupt and new certificates were issued and the old ones canceled.

  2. Well, I don't know about Rockefeller, but he started Standard Oil which has transmogrified through the years into what is now Exxon/Mobil.

  3. may I suggest that you first learn to spell the things you are expressing correctly, ( do you have 1\2 a stock?) and it is Rockefeller- you'd be able to search it correctly yourself if you have the right data. It looks complicated, you may need to consult a stockbroker.

  4. there's no such company.

and back then it would have been pretty tricky to buy 1/2 shares.
