You would have to trace you family back to the time when they emigrated to the states... There should be a record of where your ancestor came from and then you can take it from there...

the surname is more of spanish decent  so it's unlikely that you'd have relatives within the uk and in the 16th century some spaniards would be in the country but more as delegates from the spanish court rather than resident  it;s the time of the tudors  and it was a very temperamental and tempestuous  time depending who was seated on the throne
