  1. See if some of the local gas stations or resturants will let you put out a donation bucket.

  2. Perhaps contact the media? Or contact your local newspaper (to do a feature article on your mom and others like her in that situation--the editor or reporter might be interested) or church group (The Catholic Church would probably do it) or contact your local Medicare/Medicaid office, though your mom probably is already on those programs. I don't know if you could look into a reverse mortgage on her home if she still has one and I don't even know if you could legally do that.

  3. Do you attend a church? Some churches will do benefits, I even think non church organizations will do them.. Talk to  the funeral home and ask if they know of any programs. If you don't go to a church you still may be able to approach one for help. Kudos to you for caring for your mom, you are a good kid.

  4. Have a fundraising dinner for her. 30.00 per person, 40.00 a couple. Have a buffet/music/desserts, raffle...the more people you invite the more money you will raise. The prices can change to your personal taste. These kinds of fundraiser always go well, and they do not have to be expensive. I am sure your mom would love to be surrounded by all her friends and relatives for an evening of fun. :)

  5. Look for the nearest Civitan club.  They usually help people in the community and they can help you organize a fundraiser for her, where the proceeds will probably all go to you.

All you have to do is ask, you'd be surprised!

  6. Do you or your mother belong to a church?  Go there for help.  If you don't go to a church, then call the local Catholic church and ask to talk to the priest ... tell him of your 'stress' and he can give you both spiritual help AND can give you the references you need.  You do NOT have to 'be a Catholic' to get help from the Catholic church.  Catholic means UNIVERSAL and they do help anyone, and do NOT require you to convert or even 'pray' ... they just HELP THOSE WHO NEED IT!

  7. set it up with a bank to except donations.have a radio station give a free announcement. put donation

cans in C STORES AND GAS STATIONS.HAVE YOUR CHURCH TAKE UP A SPECIAL COLLECTION.
