How would i get a number in portugal, to be able to call someone?

I'm trying to get in touch with a family member. I know he lives in Santa Maria. But i don't know how to get his number, and i would LOVE to get a number. So if anyone knows how i would be able to do that, it would help me alot!

do u mean SANTA MARIA, the island (Azores)?

If so you have to dial 00351296 then your phone number.

If you don't have the phone number but you have the name and/or address then you can look into the phone book which is in english as well: http://white.yellowpages.pt/displayhome....

Try the Portuguese yellow pages: http://www.pai.pt

Some of the sites suggested in other answers are just internet searches but with this one (unfortunately in Portuguese only) you can have access to local individuals.

411.com works pretty well.  I think you can even translate it to english.
