  1. As a former flight attendant, I can tell you that the best way is to frequently check the newspaper employment section of the nearest major city to you.  Most airlines hire by having "group" interviews held at various locations throughout the country.  Sometimes, certain airlines may go for a number of years without hiring at all.  So, just sending in random resumes would probably be useless and just end up in the trash bin.  Also, don't waste your time or money on private, or online "flight attendant" training, as each airline has their own, which you must complete even if you have worked for another airline previously.  Anyway, if you are lucky enough to be selected out of the group interview, the airline will then fly you to one of their hub cities or corporate HQ city, for more extensive one-on-one interviewing.  If you pass muster on this, they will then send you to their company doctor for a physical exam.

If you make it past that, you will then be sent to their training school location, where they will house and feed you .  Depending on the airline, this training may last from 4-8 weeks.  If you pass all of the classroom tests, you will then finally be given your wings.  As you can see, its a long process.  I wish you luck and success.

  2. I would begin by looking at the websites of the airlines.  They will let you know about processes etc.
