How would i go about starting an adult magazine?

You need a publisher, ad revinue, investors, a talent pool of people to write and photograph things for your magazine, and distributors to get it on book shelves in stores.

These days its not uncommon to write for a magazine or newspaper first, then when you have demonstrated your capabilities and networked a bit, move on to creating your own magazine. Theres hardly any money in it anymore, most people gets their info online or tv now. You could start your own blog though.

get a magazine you like (in stores or small published) and see how the layout of it is like see the T of Contents. then cater it to what you want. So if it's adult (p**n) then instead of there being GAP or D&G advertisements with models have adult models wearing lingerie from adult stores ro get Hustler to donate some ads (or pay for them probably better) but you gotta show them how many readers or potential you got. It's all about connections. Then you ahve to get distribution into the bookstores and grocery stores (if it's X-Rated i doubt grocery stores) Good luck

Remember the pictures/ads is where you get your money b/c think about it gettting  a color page at Kinkos cost $1. So if you have 30 pages that's 30 bucks an issue. How you get the magazine to cost $1 is buying getting a huge quantity (3000 is usually the minimum order I think more than likely 5000 is how much you're going to pay to get 5000 issues) so getting sponsors will help

look at the internet sites and find blogs and stuff surely someone will give you $10 to put their ad in (so 10 ads will be $100 to your pocket.)
