How would i modify the acceleration on my 98 honda civic ex coupe

if you want more power you need to spend money you cant tune it for free now... get a intake, catback exhaust < basics help your car breath better

If you really want acceleration get a supercharger.  No lag like turbos do so the accell better and faster, with that it cost money, but it'll do you the best, otherwise just do what the others said, but you won't notice too much.

Just a tune up will help, spark plugs, plug wires, air filter, oil change (w/ better oil) Transmission fluid or oil depending if it manual or auto. If you want to spend a little money an air intake is the cheapest add on (AEM is a great brand)  and a good way to start. Hope this helps.
