How would i now if my electric guitar pick ups aren't working?

how could i now if my guitar pick ups are damaged?

I guess if you can't spell "KNOW" you probably don't know the obvious answer.

Find a know good jack-cord.

Plug it into your amp.

Turn all volumes to a reasonable level.

Strum a D chord (D for dunce)  and if hear something...  They are working

If not... they are not.

when you plug your guitar into your amp (with the amp on obviously lol) when you play the guitar it should come out through the amp if its turned up, if it isnt then it may be your pick ups or your amp or your lead thats connecting your guitar to your amp arent working...

why would they not be working anyway? bit more information might make answers more precise..
