How would i say this in german?

i love german and i would give anything to see my host family again.

(i know this is a colloquial term, but is there a similar term in german?)

I'm native German and was at a host family in France (thus my love of French food, although I forgot most of what  knew about the French langage) years ago.

So, here's what I'd say in German:

"Ich mag Deutschland, und ich würde gerne meine Gastfamilie wieder treffen."

("I like Germany, and I'd like to meet with my host family again.")

You know, in German, you don't use "love" ("lieben") so often. Rather say "like" ("mögen": ich mag, du magst, er mag, wir mögen, etc.). -- The conjuctive case ("I would like to") is "ich möchte" (du möchtest, etc.):

"Ich mag Deutschland, und ich möchte gerne meine Gastfamilie wieder treffen."

Now don't let us discuss that "treffen" in German meens "to hit" and "to meet". Let's rather improve on "ich mag Deutschland".

Obviously, you have been here. So you should say:

"Mir hat es in Deutschland gefallen"

(past participle, reflecive verb: "I liked it in German")

So now we're at:

"Mir hat es in Deutschland gefallen, und ich möchte gerne meine Gastfamilie wieder treffen."

Now let's see how we put that "I would give anything" into the translation.

As I told you before, Germans hate exaggerations like "love" or "would give anything"; but we have a word that emphasizes everything, and that word is "sehr":

"Mir hat es in Deutschland sehr gefallen, und ich möchte gerne meine Gastfamilie wieder treffen."

Now, as a next step, you can emphasize the "gerne" by using "unbedingt" ("under all circumstances"), and we're at:

"Mir hat es in Deutschland sehr gefallen, und ich möchte unbedingt meine Gastfamilie wieder treffen."

And here we are at a completely perfect German sentence.

Not that your original phrase weren't understood, but I just couldn't resist writing down this short language lesson. My intention was to show you that, step by step, language skills improve.
