I bought these mirrors from ikea ( small squares and circles ), They needed to be mounted with these sticky adhesive squares. They hold up well BUT i need to take them down now...What would be a good way to take them down without cracking or breaking them completely. They are mounted pretty securely...I have no clue what to do.

  1. All of the other answers are good suggestions.  I suggest you criss-cross the front of the mirror with tape before you try them.  That way, if the mirror breaks it won't scatter sharp pieces everywhere.

  2. Run a dull butter knife carefully around the edges. You might have to apply a bit of Goo-Gone to the edge to loosen them. Work on one side at a time. It might be best to have someone help you in the case of large mirrors.

  3. You could also try pulling a thin wire like picture hanging wire down the backside of the mirror. I suggest having someone hold onto the mirror as you do this. Good luck

  4. A long , thin piece of metal slipped behind the mirror might help, like a kitchen knife, but obviously you're working with two dangerous things. Wear work gloves , protect your eyes, and go very easy.
